Dunkeld House Hotel is a gem of a hotel because its situated on the banks of the River Tay, just on the outskirts of Dunkeld. This four-star luxury country house hotel sits on 280 acres of well-maintained and natural woodland moreover it overlooks the wide and fast-flowing River Tay. But what a venue to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy nature, tranquillity and Scottish scenery and enjoy your Dunkeld House Wedding Photography.
It is so wonderful when a plan comes together. Lynn and Jamie had to postpone due to Covid and move their wedding to Dunkeld House Hotel but it paid off big time. They could not have had better weather, indeed allowing them to have their beautiful ceremony on the lawn, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. It was lovely to see so many of their friends and family again because we captured Jamie's sisters wedding a couple of years before.
After a drinks reception outside Dunkeld House we then captured their group family photos on the lawn. We then encouraged them to mingle with their guests because it's so important to have time to be hosts. This gave them both time to catch up with each other whilst we snapped away, meanwhile allowing us to capture all those wonderfully natural romantic moments. Before dinner we took Lynn & Jamie around the grounds and down by the River Tay for their bridal portraits.
Summer evenings are great when you can take the party outside and cool off. The rear of the marquee at Dunkeld House Hotel backs onto the River Tay, where we certainly had a great chance to catch some fun shots with their close friends and family.
All photographs are by Martin & Elaine Weir of Weir Photography, who's Moto is your DREAM, our PASSION, which obviously the case at this wedding.
